Red Fort –

No patriot is going back without making a stop at the red fort. Built in 1638, the red fort is inspired by the then rulers, Mughals. The 33 metres high walls are built using red bricks, hence the name. Also, There are a sound and light show conducted every evening inside the red fort.

Humayun’s Tomb –

The 1570 monument was built by the Mughal Queen Haji Begum in the memory of her husband Humayun. The monument is surrounded by manicured gardens and fresh water fountains. The building itself is inspired by Persian architecture. Also, The monument does resemble the world famous Taj Mahal.

Qutub Minar –

This is considered the tallest tower in India. The 73 metres tall tower was built to celebrate the beginning of the Mughal rule in the country. Also, It was built by the Mughal ruler Qutab-ud-din Aibak. You can find the country’s first mosque Quwwat-ul-Islam at the foot of Qutub Minar. The monument is built using red sandstone and marble.

Lotus Temple –

This breathtaking monument is a monument that shows unity between all the religions that are followed in the country. The lotus temple resembles a lotus in its shape. Exists since in 1986. The temple is built of pure white marble. The serene and calm halls are open for people of all religions to pray and meditate. There are nine pools of water surrounding the temple, and they look enchanting during the sunset.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple

It is the world’s largest Hindu temple. It exists since in 2005. The temple is 42 metres tall and has a beautiful architecture that can beat any world class monument in looks. There are temples, parks, museum and cultural centre in the 12-acre premises.

India Gate –

The pride of Indians, India gate was constructed in 1931 to commemorate the 70,000 soldiers killed in the world war and Afghan war. each and every soldier names who lost his life have been inscribed on the wall. Located on the Rajpath, the gate looks pleasantly beautiful amidst the gardens during the cool evenings.
