The Nagin lake at the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountains where the water is sparkling like crystal and able to reflect the trees on the edge and hills of Shankaracharya on the south and Hari Parbat in the west. This lake is a subsidiary of Dal Lake, which separated by narrow causeways. On the causeways, water supply pipeline passes this also bikers and walkers can pass and enjoy the great view. Willow and polar trees are most common trees growing there.  Swimming can be nice activity to do with this clear and deep water. Trying water sport like water skiing will be challenging one. Taking a trip on the fiberglass boat to enjoy the beautiful view and even the houseboats make the view even better.

The Dal Lake is large as 18 sq km long included Mughal era gardens, parks and houseboats with average depth in 5 ft and maximum 20 ft. A part of natural wetland which covers an area about 21 sq km, included the floating gardens or called “Rad”. It owns the best place of Srinagar, takes first in must visit place in Srinagar. The main attraction is the view of Dal Lake. It is surrounded by mountains with snow on the top which visible on its three sides. Lush beautiful gardens and orchids along its outer rings. No wonder it called as “the jewel in the crown of Kashmir” tourists’ must visit site. Moreover, this second largest lake in the state also being functioned for fishery and water plant. Lotus blossoms in the middle of the year in the floating gardens. It sparks the 4 sites called Bod Dal, Nagin, Gagribal, and Lakut Dal some with island in the center.
